Jack-o-lantern Drive Thru

The Jack-o-lantern Drive-Thru is headed for Main Street and we want you to participate!First, pick up a pumpkin at the Jonesborough Visitors Center and Emporium, located at 117 Boone Street, on Monday, October 25, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Take your pumpkin home, carve it and bring it back to the Jonesborough Visitors Center on Wednesday, October 27, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. or Thursday, October 28, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
These pumpkins will be lit and on display along Main Street from Thursday, October 28 through Sunday, October 31, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening.
Be sure to stop by and check out the pumpkins!In addition to the drive-thru, enjoy other Halloween activities on Friday, October 29. Join us for a spooky, Halloween-themed drive-in movie night! We’ll show the Halloween classic Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” displayed behind the Washington County Courthouse. Parking starts at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 8 p.m.
The Christopher Taylor House will be transformed into the Sanderson Sisters house from Hocus Pocus’, and you may even find them running amuck close by! The Hungarian Sausage King Food Truck will be setup beside the Courthouse at 6 p.m. and you won’t want to miss a pumpkin carving demo by Pete Tucker, world-famous carver. He will be demonstrating his skills on a giant pumpkin in front of the Courthouse.
The McKinney Center will also offer a kids craft!Run Amuck with us at the Haunted Half Marathon on Saturday, Oct. 30 starting at 8:30 a.m. Then in the evening, Jonesborough will host a costume contest and treat giveaway from 2 p.m. – 6 pm. Participants are asked to dress up in their best Halloween costume and come downtown, take their picture outside the courthouse at the special Halloween backdrop.
Photos should be posted on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #booinjbo and #onlyinjonesborough to be entered in the costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: children 0 – 9 years, children 10 – 18 years, adults, group, people’s choice and pets. Once participants have posted their pictures on social media, they can visit participating merchants to collect their ghoulish treats.
